À propos de moi

At the intersection of art, technology, and media studies, I research the various regimes of still and moving images in the twentieth century, focusing primarily on experimental cinema, television, and the digital image. My current work explores the emergence of computer technology and the digital turn in postwar visual art.
My first book, "Mobile Color: Essai d'écranologie" (to be published by Mimésis Press), examines experimental media practices in the United States. I have been a visiting scholar at Columbia University and have held fellowships at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), the Smithsonian American Art Museum (Washington D.C.), the Institut National d'Histoire de l'Art (Paris), and Ca' Foscari University (Venice).
